We were going to visit family and friends in
Leeds, and on all previous occasions have stayed in Leeds, decided this
time to try something a bit further out of the city. We knew we wanted
to be North of the city in the vicinity of Wetherby and after "surfing"
the net came across Four Gables Bed & Breakfast, about 4/5 miles
south west of Wetherby. it is a wonderful Grade 11 listed building,
think built around 1900. We found Anne & David wonderful hosts. Our
king room overlooked a lovely garden with a croquet lawn. The
breakfasts were wonderful, each day besides the normal cereals, fresh
orange juice, homemade jams and preserves, full english, each day of
the week there is a different "speciality" and on a Friday it is French
Toast (beleive a muffin is used)- would love the recipe - it is not
fried apparently but baked.
Having free wifi was great. Lovely
walk along the River Wharfe, and a couple of good restaurants nearby -
would definitely return when we have to be in Leeds again.
