Redcurrants

Redcurrants

The raspberries are nearly finished, and the redcurrants were getting ripe.  The birds had been sneaking under the netting – David has rescued about half a dozen blackbirds during the last few weeks.  So this morning it was our turn:  we removed the netting and picked 7.6 kg of redcurrants!  Yes, just the 7.6 kilograms.   And we even left some for the birds – mustn’t be greedy.  There’s just one thing… what to do with them all!  At least we’ve got a little time before the figs hit us full-force.
